Sheila Goss Duerr, Esq. has been practicing law in New York State since 1991. As a private attorney, Goss Duerr has tried cases on both the state and federal levels and has represented clients in many areas of the law including employment law, real estate, business law, divorce and family law, and all aspects of civil litigation. She is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York, the State of Connecticut and the Federal District Court of Northern New York.
Attorney Goss Duerr is a certified Divorce Mediator, having earned her certification through the New York Peace Institute in Brooklyn. She brings her knowledge of all of these areas of the law in assisting couples who are seeking divorce through mediation. Attorney Goss Duerr is a graduate of Hudson Falls High School, SUNY Potsdam and Western New England School of Law.
She resides with her family in Glens Falls.
Kathleen Eddy Hofmann, Esq. is a graduate of Skidmore College (B.S. Social Work), and Vermont Law School. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 2007, Kate has experience in many areas of law, but has always drawn on her skills as a social worker in assisting her clients as they navigate complex and stressful legal processes.
Kate’s background in humanities and social services gives her the expertise needed to assist couples as they work to create their new lives. Her knowledge of family systems, and the dynamics at play during the dissolution process enables Kate to thoroughly and accurately address all issues facing a couple as they work through this process.
Kate’s years of practice in multiple areas of the law provides the ability to identify the issues that are most important to couples who are in the process of ending their marriages. Her experience in real estate, family law, small business and corporate matters provides a depth of knowledge that can be utilized to best serve the needs of her clients.
Kate is certified by the New York Peace Institute as a Divorce Mediator.
